| Did you know?: Charlene studied in a 3-year-acting program at the Tony-Award winning South Coast Repertory in Orange County/ CA. She plays piano since she's 5. She is a singer and an accomplished Irish Dancer. She is a published writer and you can buy the anthology magazine TRUTH Etc. with her short story in it here. She is fluent in German. She has been awarded 4 CARE (Child Actor Recognition Event) Awards in a row since 2007 at red-carpet ceremonies at Universal Studios in Hollywood. She won a Super Scientist Award in 3rd Grade and her Social Studies project about the Mission San Juan Capistrano won 1st place at the Orange County Department of Education (OCED) EXPO in May 2009. She now attends the honors program of the environmental science academy of her middle school. In January 2012 she has been nominated by her teacher for the National Junior Honor Society. Charlene was Betty Parris in Arthur Miller's theatre play 'The Crucible' . She had been hand-picked shortly after her 8th birthday by consulting Disney Show Director Mark Torreso who saw her in acting class. He was so impressed by her talent that he asked her to audition and hired her right away! Director and producer Damian Chapa of Blood in, Blood out-fame has been so impressed by her talent that he wrote her twice into his scripts just so he can work with her again. Her big sister Jessica Amzoll works in the entertainment industry as well. She applies her talent to post productions of movies and TV shows as a visual effects artist supervisor. |
